Nacogdoches native to receive SFA Human Sciences Alumni Award

Human Sciences alumnus Robert Levy will receive the Edna Wilkin Teagarden Exemplary Service Award in Human Sciences at the Human Sciences Honors Convocation at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in Regents Suite A of the Baker Pattillo Student Center at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Levy, a Nacogdoches native, is a 2001 human sciences graduate with a degree in hospitality administration. He works as a general manager at Springhill Suites Austin North in Austin, which received exemplary customer satisfaction ratings under his management. The property also was awarded a White Lodging award for select service in 2007 and best Springhill Extended Stay for 2008. Levy also has co-directed a leadership series for all Austin hotels and promoted three managers from the hotel to more challenging roles.
Levy has previously held general management positions at Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield Inn by Marriott.
Award nominee must be an SFA graduate who majored in human sciences. The human sciences faculty selects a winner based on the nominee's character and portrayal of dedication to the profession by making an exemplary contribution to the field.
