SFA Theatre performs 'A Raisin in the Sun'

Red Oak sophomore Sharayah Reed and Nacogdoches High School freshman Devin Bruton rehearse a scene from the SFA School of Theatre's production of "A Raisin in the Sun." In this pivotal scene, Reed's character, Lena Younger, tells her grandson, Travis, that she is buying the family a new house. Professor Allen Oster directs the play by Lorraine Hansberry that is set in the 1950s on the South Side of Chicago and focuses on the dreams every member of the Younger family is struggling to attain. The play is being presented at 7:30 p.m. tonight through Saturday, March 6, in W.M. Turner Auditorium as part of the SFA College of Fine Arts' University Series.
