Nacogdoches Naturally to host day trip to state park

John Tatum of Mission Tejas State Park will guide guests on a tour of Texas history.
The Nacogdoches Naturally program of Stephen F. Austin State University's Pineywoods Native Plant Center will host a day trip to Mission Tejas State Park on Saturday, Feb. 6.
The park provides replicas of Texas history in a pineywoods setting. Park employee John Tatum will guide the group as they cook a Dutch oven lunch, hike along El Camino Real, learn about pioneer tools and toys, and fish at the pond.
Reservations are required. Those attending will meet at 9 a.m. at the SFA Pineywoods Native Plant Center, 2900 Raguet St. SFA vans will be available for those who do not want to drive their own vehicle. The group will return at approximately 4 p.m. For more information, call (936) 468-1832.
