The future is now: mastering the digital world

Watch any old episode of Star Trek and then look at the smartphone in your pocket, and you’ll understand that we are indeed living in the future. Digital computers have evolved faster and become more versatile than any other technology in human history, going from a curiosity just a few decades ago to a vital part of our daily lives today.

Come join our team at SFA and be part of the digital generation as you study computer science, computer information systems, informational technology or cyber security. As a student at SFA, you’ll go beyond theory and get your feet wet with in-depth projects, network with industry experts, interact with our teaching-centric faculty and partake in local and national programming competitions.

You’ll have access to state-of-the-art computer labs in our Cole STEM building, including laboratories designed for research activity in game design, app development, augmented and virtual reality and robotics. You’ll gain the skills you need for a variety of jobs, from digital animation to spacecraft design. You’ll also make contact with industry leaders through our advisory council and industrial partners with plentiful opportunities for internships geared toward future employment.
