SFA's Music Prep announces spring recital schedule


NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Music Preparatory Division in the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music has announced its spring recital schedule.

Guitar students of Chance Moore will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 29, in the performance hall of the Music Prep House at 3028 Raguet St.

On Saturday, May 6, violin students of Dr. Jennifer Dalmas and cello students of Dr. Evgeni Raychev will perform at 1 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall on the SFA campus.

SFA Gardens to serve as event partner for Texas Pollinator PowWow


NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Experts from across the U.S. will converge May 5 through 7 at the Nacogdoches Exposition Center, located at 3805 Northwest Stallings Drive, as SFA Gardens welcomes the 2017 Texas Pollinator PowWow.

This year's event will focus on biodiversity and the many ways pollinators, plants and humans depend on one another for survival.

"It's really an amazing opportunity to have such renowned experts all in one place," said Dawn Stover, SFA Gardens research associate.
