Title: Emanis Lake
"When we moved back to Arcadia in 1954, we farmed cotton, corn, and sugar cane on this land. Since then a lake was built and where we grew our crops is covered by the Emanis Lake. I remember every time we drove the tractor out of the fields, we had to go up a hill and the tractor would rear up like a horse. I would sit on top of it and play like it was a horse. My sister would back the tractor up the hill so the heavy disc would go first and it would not cause the tractor to raise up."
