Title: Community House
"This was the center of most of our entertainment in Arcadia. Singings, community meetings, 4-H meetings, parties for new babies, showers for people getting married, & etc. were all held in this place. It use[d] to be a school & even church meetings were held in it. One time before a big community meeting, myself and two friends, Jerry Pate and Buddy Sowell, shut an armadillo in the room before everyone got there. It took some chasing to run it out the door. The upstairs was the Masonic Lodge. My dad was a member."
