"This is my Uncle Eloy and Aunt Coot (Marquette) Emanis's home. I loved staying with them when I was little. My Aunt Coot worked, so I didn't get to stay with them except on weekends, but I certainly enjoyed those times. She cooked some of the best food I've ever tasted. I also loved the claw-foot bathtub. One of the rooms in the house had Aunt Coot's quilting frames attached to the ceiling. I loved to watch her deftly push and pull heavy quilting thread through the colorful fabrics! I remember my grandmother quilting with Aunt Coot and them sometimes letting me "help" them. Thank goodness I was slow - they didn't have as many stitches to pull out after I tried "helping" them."
