"This was the cattle dipping vat for cattle to control ticks and lice and whatever. Tom Nix was the state inspector. I was 3 or 4 years old and would ride behind him on his horse to help pen and inspect cattle for ticks or whatever. That was when cattle were wild, not like today. Got water to drink from [the] spring water hole in [the] working coral pens. The water hole in the working cattle pens is still spring fed today - never been dry."
