Title: Cooper School
"I attended this 1-room school house in grades 1-2 (1945-1949). They taught eight grades in one room by Mrs. Nara Hughes. Later it was closed and students bused to Timpson ISD (16 miles away). My grandmother Mrs. Dee Smith ran the meager cafeteria and my grandfather, J.E. Smith, Sr. was president of the three man school board."
