"In the 1940s my family farmed the 50 acre bottom in the west of a tall hill owned and occupied by Mr. and Mrs. John Darnell. I always wanted to someday own this 160 acre tract of land to build my house on this so-called "Darnell Hill." The view to the west toward Garrison, Nacogdoches & Timpson is just "Great.""
