"Because my great grandparents, Jake & Dee Smith ("Big Dad" & "Big Momma") lived here and later my great Aunt Ruby Dee Smith. She had a menagerie that I loved…chickens, geese, ducks, guineas, dogs, cows, etc. I always knew the dog trot was special and later oversaw its restoration and lived in it for several years."
