Title: Granny's Celeste Fig Tree
"Because I love figs and this one belonged to my Grandmother Emanis. It is a "Celeste" or "Sugar Fig" and has been there my whole life. I remember when she taught me how to eat them & always made fig preserves. It was located where the drain from the sink came out to keep it watered. There was a clump of Evening Primrose growing at the base of it that she and the locals called "butter cups." I couldn't wait to run to it when we arrived to stick my nose in a flower and get "butter" pollen on it!"
