Architectural Survey

The Starr-Pope home is a one-story, frame Free Classical/Queen Anne structure with a small gabled porch supported by four classical columns that covers only the main entrance.

Historical Background

According to Max Lale, the Starr-Pope home was built in 1885 for Calra Starr Pope as part of her dowry when she married. But the Sanborn Maps do not show evidence of a house on the property until 1904.
