The Sloan-Haynes plantation is a two-story Greek Revival structure with a two-story, double-gallery porch which covers three of the five bay facade.

Historical Background

Constructed of native material and brick made on the property, the Sloan-Haynes plantation was owned by the William Sloan family who owned a cotton plantation and sawmill. The Haynes family turned the cotton plantaiton into a cattle ranch.
