The Garrett House is a two-story, 1870s Folk Victorian structure with a full length porch supported by wood colums, with flat jigsaw trim, and spindlework railing. The facade contains three front-facing gable dormers with windows.

Historical Background

The Garrett home was built in the 1870s by Confederate Captain R.P. Garrett. According to Max Lale the home contained the first indoor bathroom in Marshall.
