Description: Large well-maintained cemetery surrounded by decorative cast iron fence; most of cemetery is covered with San Augustine grass; however, a handful of graves are swept and mounded; many are curbed; vegetation includes magnolia, lagustrum, holly, cedar, and other trees; markers are upright, flat, false crypt, and mausoleum.

Significance: One of the oldest known Anglo cemeteries in state; 4 signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence are buried here: Thomas J. Rusk; Charles S. Taylor, John S. Roberts.
