Digital copies of items are available in the Digital Archives and Collections. Items include photographs, documents, maps, books and other archival materials associated with the East Texas geographical region from the Gulf of Mexico north to the Red River and east of the Trinity River to Western Louisiana, which was once part of Texas. The digitized material is freely available to students, teachers and the general public for their historical and genealogical research.

Preserve

Retaining records from SFA and all areas of East Texas is part of ETRC's mission. How can you preserve history?

  1. Donate items of historical interest or value to the East Texas Research Center.
  2. Get someone you know to donate items to the East Texas Research Center.
  3. Donate funds to help the East Texas Research Center continue its mission to preserve history.

Help shape the present and future view of the past before the past becomes lost forever.

The ETRC welcomes donations of manuscript material, photographs, books or other items which fall within the collecting scope of the center. These donations enrich our collections and allow us to use our limited monetary resources for other purposes.

Donations of books will be recognized by a letter from the Steen Library thanking the individual for their donation.

Manuscript collections will be given special consideration by the East Texas Research Center.
