NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Fall semester ticket sales for both Stephen F. Austin State University’s Lumberjack Express mobile food lab and Culinary Café will open at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Tickets for either event can be purchased through an online ticket system.

The Lumberjack Express, a hospitality administration lab that provides transformational learning experiences for students while offering culinary delights for campus and local patrons, will begin service at 11:15 a.m. Oct. 1 in the Education Annex Parking Lot No. 15 on campus. Service will continue at the same time each Tuesday and Thursday. Guests are encouraged to arrive no later than 12:30 p.m.

Lumberjack Express food sales will be handled through the online ticket system for pre-sold meals with walkup orders available until meals are sold out. Each meal is $8, and only 60 meals will be sold each day.

The Culinary Café, a reservation-only learning laboratory featuring various weekly cuisine themes, is open for lunch at noon each Tuesday and Thursday and is located inside the Perkins College of Education Annex.

Café seating is limited and sells out fast, so make reservations early. In an effort to accommodate more guests, the Culinary Café will observe open seating. Therefore, you may be seated with another party. Bring your email confirmation printout with you for verification. If you do not receive an email confirmation, call (936) 468-4502.

The Culinary Café and Lumberjack Express are both led by hospitality administration students under the culinary direction of Chef Todd Barrios and service direction of Dr. Chay Runnels, hospitality administration program coordinator and associate professor.
