The Office of International Programs at Stephen F. Austin State University will celebrate International Education Week Monday, Nov. 14, through Friday, Nov. 18. The event is an opportunity to explore the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.

The kick-off reception will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Regents Suite B.

On Tuesday, there will be a study abroad/international student organization fair from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Steen Library Wyatt Room. Options for students to study abroad with SFA professors or on their own will be available, as well as information about various internationally focused student groups on campus.

At the ''Crossing Borders" documentary film screening, a facilitator trained by the film's director will lead a panel discussion. The film will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the student center movie theater. Admission is free.

Thursday will feature a Global Gateway to China presentation by an American SFA student who studied in Shanghai. He will give his perspective about his life in China, learning Chinese and skateboarding on the Great Wall. The presentation is from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Steen Library Wyatt Room.

The International Education Week concludes Friday with a World Cup-style soccer tournament and a demonstration cricket match. Students will be able to learn more about this international sport at noon at the SFA Soccer Field.
