NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin State University Board of Regents approved new faculty and staff appointments, changes of status and retirements at its regular meeting Tuesday.

New faculty appointments included: Kyle Ainsworth, special collections librarian II; Gregory Bailey, librarian I; Darrell Fry, assistant professor of chemistry; and Wendi Pollock, assistant professor of government.

The regents also approved the following staff appointments: Bridgit Breslow, area coordinator for the Residence Life Department; Angela Ford, grant specialist for the Center for Regional Heritage Research; Jason Grogan, Temple research specialist in the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture; Ralph LaRue, associate director of the Baker Pattillo Student Center; Michael Nesbitt, assistant football coach; Allen Singleton, coordinator of the building management system for the physical plant; and Jane Wilcox, director of parking for the University Police Department.

Approved changes of status included: Luis Aguerrevere, from instructor to assistant professor of psychology; Linda Boozer, from administrative assistant to STEM Center Coordinator in the College of Sciences and Mathematics; Roni Lias, from webmaster for the Office of Academic Affairs to web developer/designer for the Office of Public Affairs; and Robin Sullivan, from adjunct faculty to lecturer of mathematics and statistics in the College of Sciences and Mathematics.

The Board of Regents also accepted the following retirements; Ronnie Barra, professor of kinesiology; Philip Blackburn, scientific equipment specialist; Melane McCuller, instructional media specialist; and Mary Beth Smith, associate director of admissions.
