The school has a long history of presenting Handel's masterpiece during December, said Dr. Tim King, SFA professor of music and director of choral activities. "We invite singers from around the area to join their voices with the SFA combined choirs and participate in this holiday tradition."

Rehearsals, which are limited but mandatory according to King, are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, in Room 126 of the Tom and Peggy Wright Music Building and at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, and Thursday, Dec. 4, in W.M. Turner Auditorium.

Interested singers should register online at https://forms.sfasu.edu/music/messiah.asp and obtain a Novello/Watkins Shaw edition of the vocal score. These are available through many online sources such as amazon.com and jwpepper.com.

Once registered, vocalists will receive a letter of confirmation, outlining rehearsal and performance details. For more information, please call (936) 468-4602.
