Publications
Stay connected with Lumberjack publications
SFA has three publications to keep every student, faculty member and alum connected to campus. Whether you’re interested in sports scores, alumni news, student editorials or all of the above, we have a story worth reading.
Our publications are all available online. We also offer printed versions of Sawdust magazine and The Pine Log newspaper.
The Pine Log
The Pine Log is SFA’s award-winning, independent, free online newspaper. The student staff is committed to providing the campus community with fair and balanced coverage of university and local news and sports as well as informed opinion pieces, including columns and editorials.
During the fall and spring semesters, The Pine Log content is updated daily, and a newsletter is emailed to all enrolled students every week. During the summer, the staff produces an annual print Welcome Edition, which is mailed to the homes of all incoming first-year and transfer students. The Pine Log prints other special editions when needed. Contact Student Publications for more information about The Pine Log.
Stone Fort Yearbook
The Stone Fort is SFA’s award-winning, independent yearbook, a tradition dating all the way back to the school’s founding. The first Stone Fort was published in spring 1924 and recorded SFA’s first academic year for future generations of Lumberjacks. Each year since, the student staff has created a unique, hard-cover volume that includes photos, in-depth stories, up-to-the-minute trends and long-held university traditions.
The SFA yearbook serves as a snapshot of SFA history for posterity and a one-of-a-kind keepsake to help Lumberjacks remember their college experience. Subscriptions are available for purchase during all summer Orientation sessions, or you may subscribe online at any time. To subscribe, log in to your mySFA account and click on “Campus Life”, “Other Information” and “Order Your Stone Fort Yearbook.” Contact Student Publications for more information about the Stone Fort Yearbook.
