Enter a world of wonder during Stephen F. Austin State University’s “Dragons and Mythical Beasts,” an interactive show presented as part of the Micky Elliott College of Fine Arts’ University Series scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in the Griffith Fine Arts Building’s Turner Auditorium.

Jenny Baker, a counselor with Stephen F. Austin State University's Counseling Services, was recently certified in equine-assisted psychotherapy to be able to offer the new service to students. In partnership with the university’s Equine Center in the Department of Agriculture, this free opportunity allows Lumberjacks to engage with horses through a series of ground-based activities guided by a mental health professional.

The University of Texas System Board of Regents approved a $5 million expansion of Stephen F. Austin State University’s forestry and agriculture construction project. The expansion will add a nearly 17,000-square-foot Agricultural Engineering and Technology Building next to the planned four-story, 102,117-square-foot Forestry Building set to open in 2027.
