Director of Governmental Relations

What drew you to the higher education world?

I have enjoyed working with college students since my own undergraduate experience. Getting a college degree transforms the life of a student and their family, and I wanted to assist students in this endeavor.

What do you enjoy most about your role at SFA?

Over the years, I have met many interesting people at SFA, in the city of Nacogdoches and at the state capitol. It has been fun to work with these people and learn from their diverse points of view.

What do you hope students gain from SFA?

The students, staff and faculty at SFA are like family. I hope that students find lifelong friendships and connections that they can rely on throughout their life.

What are you passionate about outside of your role at SFA?

If you look for me when I am not working, you will probably find me at a classical music concert. I thoroughly enjoy chamber music, particularly music from the Baroque period.
