Our Role

The Staff Council serves in an advisory capacity to the president and other university leaders, helps ensure the effective contributions of staff members’ expertise toward university goals and acts as the liaison between the president and staff members. The council promotes and enhances the status of university staff members, advocates for them and represents the interests of staff members. Staff Council representatives share a commitment to informing their constituents about the work of the council, listening to their concerns, suggestions and questions, and effectively communicating those to the council.
