The Office of International Programs welcomes you and your interest in studying abroad!
Whether you are an international student interested in studying in the United States or a current SFA student interested in continuing your education outside the U.S., we are here to help you explore your opportunities and navigate through the process of making it a reality.
Interested in studying in the U.S.?
SFA is a wonderful place to continue your education, where you can get a great college education in a beautiful, small-town Texas environment. SFA offers international students individual attention, and professors are happy to meet with you one-on-one to discuss your classes. Tutoring and study sessions with fellow students will give you the academic support to be successful at SFA.
International students benefit from information and services facilitated by the Office of International Programs, including arrival in the U.S., maintenance of immigration and academic records, and issuance of travel and work documents.
Beyond the classroom or the lab, you can get involved with the numerous student groups and activities on campus. We know the importance of balancing your academic and personal life, and getting the most out of this experience. You will be joining a dynamic and diverse international community with students representing approximately 50 countries. With nearly 13,000 students on campus, there are many opportunities to meet new friends and enjoy U.S. college life.
Interested in studying outside the U.S.?
Study abroad is not just taking classes — it can include community development projects, research, internships, service learning and study tours. It is an amazing and enriching adventure that will take personal and professional opportunities to a new level. It will change your life!

We can help you select a program that's right for you based on your personal and academic needs, interests and abilities. The earlier you start planning, the more options you will have, so meet with us soon.
