Thirteen Stephen F. Austin State University students in the aviation sciences program competed against the region’s top flight programs at the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s SAFECON 2024 in Waco, competing in both ground and flying challenges. Junior Kai Parker from League City placed fourth in the short field accuracy landing event, and SFA had several top 10 placements in other events.
