Apply for work-study

These part-time jobs are federally funded opportunities on-campus designed to help cover costs associated with your educational expenses. Work-study positions open the door to professional environments and, in many cases, provide networking experiences related to your area of study! Available positions are posted on careers.sfasu.edu.

If you're interested in the federal work-study program, you will need to answer "yes" to question 31 on your FAFSA. Visit our Applying for Aid page to learn more.

Resource to continue career development

Summer is a great time to prepare for your next opportunity – continue your career development by taking some of the following steps:

  • Meet with a career coach. Career coaches can help provide guidance in selecting a major or a minor, learning what you can do with your major, preparing for future job or internship searches and much more.
  • Conduct an informational interview, or do job shadowing with a professional in the field you want to pursue.
  • Update your professional documents and submit them for feedback.
  • Strengthen your interview skills with a mock interview, or use InterviewStream to practice on your own.

These are only a few examples of the resources available through the Center for Career and Professional Development. Visit the CCPD website to learn more!
